Illegal Knowledge Program Guide To Season Seven

Episodes from season seven are listed here, with links to videos which are currently available.
We now know that there will be eleven episodes in Season Seven, with one missing in September 2014.  There may be an Eighth Season, depending upon whether Access Tucson is allowed to continue beyond June of 2015, so stay tuned.  Unfortunately, not all of the information from seasons one and two have been preserved, some recordings have been lost or damaged, and a few shows were never recorded in the first place.
Click on the links below for the program listings for each season.  If a video for a particular episode is available, there will be a link to the IKTV YouTube channel where you can watch it.  If the video is in post-production, it will be available shortly.  If no link is present, the video is not available.  If you have made a recording of any episode which does not have a video link, I would be very interested in obtaining your video so it can be digitized and your copy can be returned to you.  Please send email to if that is the case, and thank you incredibly muchly!

First, select all democrats on side one of the ballot.  You may vote for two candidates in your AZ Legislative District races, and you may vote for two members for the TUSD board.  I personally vote NO to not retain any judge.  Side two of the ballot contains the 2014 ballot initiatives.  Sadly, the SAFER initiative petitioners did not gather enough signatures to put full marijuana legalization on the 2014 ballot, so MPP will do it in 2016.

Commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC) constitutes a form of coercion and violence against children and amounts to forced labour and a contemporary form of slavery.

CSEC includes the prostitution of children, child pornography, child sex tourism and other forms of transactional sex where a child engages in sexual activities to have key needs fulfilled, such as food, shelter or access to education.  It includes forms of transactional sex where the sexual abuse of children is not stopped or reported by household members, due to benefits derived by the household from the perpetrator.  CSEC also potentially includes arranged marriages involving children under the age of 18 years, where the child has not freely consented to marriage and where the child is sexually abused.

Prostitution of children under the age of 18 years, child pornography and the (often related) sale and trafficking of children are often considered to be crimes of violence against children.  They are considered to be forms of economic exploitation akin to forced labour or slavery.  Such children often suffer irreparable damage to their physical and mental health.  They face early pregnancy and risk sexually transmitted diseases, particularly AIDS.  They are often inadequately protected by the law and may be treated as criminals.

Child trafficking and CSEC sometimes overlap.  On the one hand, children who are trafficked are often trafficked for the purposes of CSEC.  However, not all trafficked children are trafficked for these purposes.  Further, even if some of the children trafficked for other forms of work are subsequently sexually abused at work, this does not necessarily constitute CSEC.  On the other hand, according to the U.S.  Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000, the definition of Severe Forms of Trafficking in Persons includes any commercial sex act performed by a person under the age of 18.  This means that any minor who is commercially sexually exploited is defined as a trafficking victim, whether or not movement has taken place.  CSEC is also part of, but distinct from, child abuse, or even child sexual abuse.  Child rape, for example, will not usually constitute CSEC.  Neither will domestic violence.

Michael discusses the disturbing issue of child sexual slavery within the US with our panel.  Please watch the music videos which we are using for our intro and outtro segments.

2015 Tucson Peace Fair Schedule

Saturday February 28th 2015, 11 AM to 4 PM

Tucson's 33rd annual Peace Fair & Music Festival is coming to Reid Park Saturday, February 28, 2015, from 11 am to 4 pm.

It's free and open to everyone.

The Tucson Peace Center is an umbrella organization for 150 of Tucson's local peace, social justice, environmental, and labor groups.

Regular Peace Fair participants include the Women's International League of Peace and Justice (WILPF, celebrating their 100th anniversary this year), Move to Amend, Veterans for Peace, the American Civil Liberties Union, AZ4NORML, Jobs With Justice, Nuclear Resister, Physicians for Social Responsibility, and Watershed Management Group among many others.

Newly formed organizations like $15 Now, Arizonans for Gun Safety, Tucson United for Climate Action (TUCAN), and Friends of Rosa will also be on hand.

Learn what is happening in our community while you catch up with old friends and make new ones.  There are free activities for the kids like a labyrinth, face-painting, and a whimsy parade.  The Culture of Peace Alliance will offer hands-on activities to entertain young fair-goers.

This year's theme is challenging poverty.  Growing income inequality and stagnating working-class wages place many friends and neighbors in precarious financial positions.  As a community, we seek answers to the structural problems that exacerbate poverty.  We also offer an opportunity to enrich our lives through meaningful engagement and re-envisioning what constitutes true wealth on a planet undergoing massive ecological changes.

A raffle will award lucky winners dozens of prizes donated by local businesses, with names and gifts announced throughout the day.

Musical guests include Baba Marimba, Tucson's Raging Grannies, One Heart Beat, Planet Jam, Charlie King, and other local performers.

A new mobile public address system will be on display; Tucson Peace Center's member groups may now borrow it to amplify their message at rallies, parades, & events.

Don't forget to mark your calendars: Peace Fair, Saturday, February 28th, 11am-4pm, at the Reid Park Bandshell.  See you there!

“For I have sworn upon the altar of god, eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man. But this is all they have to fear from me”
  -- Thomas Jefferson

“"And what does it amount to?" said Satan, with his evil chuckle.  "Nothing at all.  You gain nothing; you always come out where you went in.  For a million years the race has gone on monotonously propagating itself and monotonously reperforming this dull nonsense--to what end?  No wisdom can guess!  Who gets a profit out of it?
"Nobody but a parcel of usurping little monarchs and nobilities who despise you; would feel defiled if you touched them; would shut the door in your face if you proposed to call; whom you slave for, fight for, die for, and are not ashamed of it, but proud; whose existence is a perpetual insult to you and you are afraid to resent it; who are mendicants supported by your alms, yet assume toward you the airs of benefactor toward beggar; who address you in the language of master to slave, and are answered in in the language of slave to master; who are worshiped by you with your mouth, while in your heart -- if you have one -- you despise yourselves for it.
"The first man was hypocrite and a coward, qualities which have not yet failed in his line; it is the foundation upon which all civilizations have been built.  Drink to their perpetuation!  Drink to their augmentation!  Drink to--" Then he saw by our faces how much we were hurt, and he cut his sentence short and stopped chuckling.”

-- Samuel Langhorne Clemens, from "The Mysterious Stranger"

“I have lived perfectly well within this society; why cannot these oliogarchs and same misanthropes do as such then?  It is not because of any particular behavior for one sociological manner; rather it is solely caused by the lack of means and those resources to the great many which are foisted particularly by those which do not lack the same.  We have all faced the serpect sick and we know what it is, who it is and where it is, moreover, we all know what is better.  The question we need to ask these days is whether we are able to appreciate this and contribute.  Perhaps more pressing is that we must now, please keep track of each others' whereabouts: regardless of the presence of GITMO DELTA-4, we must assume that we all oblige to perform in our best.  While the shame of our collective nod to the perpetuation of subjugation and torture still happens, it needs to stop immediately, so this next becomes the most important.  The place in this world bears no more space for those ideologues of bigotry nor hatred.  The ancient thought that a betterment of one family or race or strain is somehow purity, that is now obviously not only quaint, but incorrect and patently obtuse and averse from reality.  The old lines are no longer to be sanely held.  We shall not now and ought not to ever more be alone.  I do not want to be this, only in, that only I am this; it is necessary this entire world needs to share that this immutable truth must be known, because, we all of everyone, we do collectively hold the highest and so care about our future, even when it is not our own.  If you will pick any one of the 3600 to stop, please pick ALL OF THEM and make EVERYONE THE CAUSE.”
  -- Michael Oatman  --  19 December 2019
